Fall shopping

Two things on my autumn wish list: This Uniqlo cashmere sweater (those sleeves are sooo chic; perfect for a chilly Saturday afternoon) and Gap skinny cords (which are insanely insanely flattering, by the way; take it from this new mom!).

  4. i used to have a pair of bright red skinny cords from Gap about 10 years ago and im kicking myself for not hanging onto them, things always come back round eventually!!

  5. But seeing as you're already on the slim side, I would say any skinny jeans would be flattering on you... new mom or not.

  8. jovana, i promise, these are the most flattering jeans/cords EVER. a bunch of my friends feel the same way, and i wore them a week after toby was born (when i was still looking pretty pregnant and couldn't fit into my regular jeans) and they made me feel so good and even sexy :) i would really recommend them. xoxo

  13. honestly, Gap's new line of jeans/pants is really amazing. I bought like 3 pairs the other day. definitely need the skinny cords though.

  31. Just found my Fall uniform... and, so good to hear about these skinny cords. I have some Gap skinny cords from a couple of seasons ago but they stretch out so bad when I wear them they end up losing the skinny effect. I loved the concept, so I'll definitely check these out.

  35. i need a uniqlo! gah! i will have to go to h&m and search for a similar sweater. daria werbowy is wearing one just like that in all the adverts all over town, but i didn't actually see one in the store! i will search again! (or perhaps take a field trip to zara!)

  60. I love Uniqlo!!! Used to shop there frequently when I lived in Japan. But I'm surprised at how expensive that sweater is considering Uniqlo was considered the Japanese version of Old Navy. But no matter... they have tons of affordable chic styles on their website :)

  87. Got my first pair of skinny jeans last week in NYC from the Gap in Chelsea. I never thought I would get my size 8 self in a pair. These fit so nice and comfy. I have worn them three times already!!! Best spent $69. I got the dark denim ones and they really do slim you up if you have larger or athletic legs.

  115. coming back to this post for a reason. I've been dreaming of this sweater for 2 years now ... and a few days ago my husband decided to clean up his closet and found his old cashmere turtleneck exactly the same colour, way too big for me but I had it altered/bootlegged: now it has shorter puffy sleaves and a boat neck and it looks sooooo similar to the oryginal, for the cost of just about 7 dollars. I'm in heaven!!!! Thanks Jo for the inspiration, it was worth waiting 2 years;)
